Rock the Night is an annual benefit put on my Connecting to Cure Crohn’s and Colitis. This event raises funds for Inflammatory Bowel Disease Research (IBD). This years New York event features Jesse Malin and his band and Comedian Bill Burr. Trapper Schoepp will be performing with his band and Deal Delray will be doing comedy.
You know him as a stand up comedian, actor, voice artist, writer, musician, producer, podcaster and social critic. Rolling Stone magazine called Burr "the undisputed heavyweight champ of rage-fueled humor”. The New York Times in 2013 called Burr "one of the funniest, most distinctive voices in the country for years".
He has 6 stand-up specials including “Why Do I Do This”, “Let It Go”, “You People Are All The Same” and “I’m Sorry You Feel That Way,” a weekly podcast called the Monday Morning Podcast, and a series on Netflix, F is for Family.
This is a great opportunity to see Bill Burr in a small venue, along with our other great talent. This will be an evening of great entertainment, and our inspirational evening supporting people with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.
Jesse Malin is a songwriter, vocalist, and guitarist who has more than one musical personality, having made a name as a thoughtful and introspective singer/songwriter in his solo career as well as playing raucous, over the top rock & roll with the band D Generation, though heartfelt and street-smart songwriting is the common element in all of Malin's work. He is a New York musician through and through.
