The masterminds behind SFX (Demetra) and VVYNL (Danielle), the two most prominent monthly electropop music/multimedia events in New York, bring you an extravaganza that is the ultimate One Night Stand. Produced and curated by Demetra and Danielle Cardona (Lexelle), One Night Stand is a party for all the senses, bringing music, fashion, art, and performance art into one space. The first of a series of megaevents, One Night Stand will feature some of New York's best new musicians, DJs, artists, fashion designers and performance artists.
NYC’s Prince Terrence is the leader, creator and mastermind of this dark musical phenomenon. After touring the world over as a drummer for acts like Santigold, Spank Rock, Hearts Revolution, and Major Lazer, he has given life to a project all his own. The result is Hussle Club’s unique brand of eerie musical styling, combining post punk, underground dance and club music in a way that sounds both strangely familiar and unlike anything you’ve ever heard before.
Rising from the Brooklyn underground, Dynasty Electric’s explosive live shows and unique blend of electronic music and psychedelic rock has earned the group critical praise and attention from around the globe. Fronted by the powerful and seductive Jenny Electrik and featuring the densely layered production and live instrumentation of Seth Misterka, their retro-futuristic pop sound surreally falls somewhere between Madonna, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Jefferson Airplane.
Chippy Nonstop is an audacious, undeniable party starter. She is of Indian descent but is more of a cultural nomad; she was born in Dubai, grew up in Zambia, has citizenship in Canada, and currently lives in Oakland. Chippy makes “electro-trap” music that combines dance, hip-hop, and world sounds. She will be featured on the upcoming Kreayshawn, Major Lazer, Big Baby Gandhi and Star Slinger albums. Chippy just released her first solo EP, MoneyDance101, and #GLOBALSKOOLOFTWERK mixtape. Her discography includes released features with The Pack’s Stunnaman, Metro Zu, Andy Milonakis, and Main Attrakionz.
Part vamp, Part girl next door. Demetra's unique blend of uplifting melodies and dark melodic instrumentation bring this dichotomy to life. Somewhat of an Internet sensation, her first single, Dont Wreck It, helped her garner an international fan base online. Her second single, Quarter to Twelve, is currently receiving airplay on mainstream radio stations across the United States, including New York's very own KTU.
Lexelle's sound of electronic dance beats, underneath rock drums and guitars, and pop vocal melodies, is influenced greatly by artists such as Depeche Mode, New Order, Blondie, Garbage, and Queen. The Deli Magazine described Lexelle as "Abba-esque sing-song melodies, paired with industrial feedback, hinting at what Trent Reznor might sound like were he suddenly invigorated with the potentiality of bubblegum pop."
Danielle and Alex are also the founders and producers of VVYNL, the weekly electropop event that began at The Woods in Williamsburg and later moved to Knitting Factory Brooklyn, as a means of creating a space for New York's up and coming EDM artists.

When Angi3's former group Menya, a New York Post artist-to-watch and darling of critic Robert Christgau, broke up suddenly last year, she found herself starting from square one and began writing in the studio obsessively. What came out is a series of pop and hip-hop songs that will be released over the Fall of 2012, starting with Angi3's brazen and belligerent anthem (or war song, depending on the day), "Get Out My Way."
Radio Musik is a Nyc based singer/songwriter and producer creating a personal mix of electro dance beats mixed with soulful vocal stylings - all put through a Pop filter. With a sound and set inspired by unabashed pop icons, choreographers, and night clubbing, a live Radio Musik set is fearless - original - incomparable - electrifying: an electro-pop artist not be missed.
