Diamond Life is about seeing the world through a champagne kaleidoscope; the stuff of sparkling emotions fashioned into rebel songs about love; a call to arms embracing you in sweet summer's sweat.
"Diamond Life" is also a group of music makers comprised of Morgan Wiley, Andrew Raposo, and Nomi Ruiz who all met through their involvement in the acclaimed "Hercules and Love Affair," an electro-disco band formed in the fires of New York's dance music scene.
While on nine-month world tour in 2008, the three bonded over a mutual love for Sade and a longing to see the increasingly rare performer live. Not ones to wait around, they took the synergy they share on stage, that permeates the original music they create, and recast themselves as Diamond Life.
An unabashed tribute band, Diamond Life is the music of Sade reconceived and featuring the incomparable Ms. Nomi Ruiz, whose smooth, dark and dreamy vocals have garnered comparisons to Sade Adu herself.
