Friday night, Quebecoise singer-songwriter Coeur de Pirate (aka “Pirate Heart” and nom de guerre of French Canadian singer Beatrice Martin) won our hearts over, and over. Once part of a post-hardcore band, the 22-year old chanteuse electrified the room with her unique blend of indie pop and nouvelle chanson, mostly all in French.
